Kodiak Public Health Nurses provide clinic services as noted below, and take an active role in the health of the community at large. Collaborating with community partners, nurses sit on the steering committee for the Healthy Tomorrows Wellness Coalition, work with the Local Emergency Planning Committee on preparedness, participate in domestic violence multidisciplinary teams and assist with health teaching in the school district. They also help in the organization and presentation of the Kodiak Strong! Planning Day in which yearlong community wellness goals are chosen.
