Homer Public Health Center staff is closely involved with Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) of the Southern Kenai Peninsula (SKP), a community coalition that came together in November 2008 to develop and support a long-term vision of community well-being. The health center’s involvement with MAPP is centered around conducting ongoing Community Health Assessments (CHAs) followed by the development and implementation of Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIPs).
