Southeast Alaska Independent Living

SAIL serves seniors and people experiencing disabilities throughout Southeast Alaska. As a Center for Independent Living and Aging & Disability Resource Center, our mission is to “inspire personal independence”. Utilizing creative collaborations with many community partners and agencies, we advocate for inclusive and barrier-free communities across Southeast Alaska. We also work one-on-one and in group settings to meet each individual’s unique goals for independence. Services include our very popular adaptive recreation program (ORCA), taxi vouchers, assistive tech and medical equipment loan, peer support groups, home assessments for aging in place, holistic information and referral, employment, Veteran-directed in-home care, and much more!
